Cloud backup grows up: two machines, ten versions, no guessingStudio

  • A second machine receives instead of pushing — turn cloud backup on where you already work and it backs everything up; turn it on on a fresh laptop and it offers to bring your whole workspace down instead: every show plus the library, one pass, nothing local deleted.
  • Strips that name the machine — open a show another computer moved and netmap says so under the header: Front of House saved v7 2 hours ago · this copy is v5, with Pull it over and Keep this one. Asked at launch, on focus, and every few minutes; never answered for you. The library gets the same treatment when its cloud copy moves.
  • Any of the last twenty versions — the Cloud backups window (and your account page) now restores any retained version, not just the latest, which the fine print had been promising all along.
  • A sync chip that checks instead of remembers — Backed up, Backing up, Sync problem, Sync paused, next to Saved. Failed uploads retry on their own; a conflict or a lapsed license says so out loud instead of staying green.
  • The Guide gained a full cloud backup chapter, the getting-started checklist points at it, and the privacy policy and EULA now spell out exactly what cloud backup stores and where.

Exports you can hand straight to a shopAll tiers

  • Nothing gets cut off any more — column widths used to be fixed numbers chosen when the sheet was written, so they could not know how long your gear names really are. They are now measured from what actually lands on the sheet: across a real show that took the cells clipping their own text from 685 down to 11, and those eleven are cover-page text running into empty cells. A column only ever gets wider, so anything you set wide on purpose stays wide, and genuinely long text wraps instead of hiding.
  • The blue calmed down — 4Wall Blue is meant to be an accent, and an accent repeated down a page stops being one (on the RoboSpot Schedule it was about two thirds of all the colour). Every sheet now has the same four levels: one blue title at the top, a dark band per section, a pale tint for the column headers that repeat inside it, then the usual banded rows — and the PDF was brought into line with the workbook, so the two match.
  • Your VLAN colours are untouched, and verified as untouched rather than asserted. They are the only colours in the set that mean something; pulling the decoration back is exactly what lets them read. That mattered most on Switch Ports, where blue bars sat directly above VLAN-filled port cells.
  • Addresses, universes, ports and modes centre, quantities and weights go right, names and prose stay left where the eye runs down a straight edge. Looms and Switch Ports finally got the sheet title they never had, which also stops them reprinting the first loom’s (or first switch’s) name atop every printed page.

Guests ask for what they needStudioAll tiers

  • Guest dry lines — a third claimable resource beside IP addresses and universe chunks. Name the circuit yourself (“FOH to DJ riser”, “USR on deck”), bulk-add a run of identical ones, and they print on the Guest IP & Universe Chart with everything else.
  • ClearCom and ShowKontrol requests — two independent opt-ins on the Publish tab. A guest can ask for comms or ShowKontrol needs on the crew page without claiming an IP or a universe first; each type gets its own card that asks what you need first and contact details second, and the requests land in their own panel on the Guest IPs tab.
  • Sign-ups you don’t have to babysit — turn on auto-confirm and a guest LD is told confirmed the moment they sign up; leave it off and confirm them yourself from the Guest IPs tab, one row at a time or all pending at once.
  • One reminder on show day — pick a date and time and every guest who signed up gets a single email listing their addresses and universe chunks. It is stored and sent by the publish service, so it goes out on show morning whether or not netmap is running.
  • Private show notes (Project tab) — a scratchpad that saves with the show and rides your cloud backup, but is never in a PDF or spreadsheet, never in the published bundle, and never sent to the render service. It carries over when you duplicate a show, which is the point.

grandMA3 sACN lines, and your old spreadsheet as a showAll tiers

  • A grandMA3 sACN schedule, generated from your rig — netmap already knows every node’s IP and the universes on each port, so it writes the sACN lines the console needs: MA3’s own sixteen columns, in the console’s order, with any cell still at MA3’s default dimmed so only what you actually have to type reads at full strength. Unicast gives one line per destination using MA3’s own range encoding — a 16-port node is ONE line, not sixteen — and multicast gives a single line across the rig.
  • Import it on the console — the schedule exports as grandMA3’s own sACN file: drop it in gma3_library/inout/sacn and press Import. Lines you typed by hand survive a rebuild, so a spare pointed at a 100-universe block stays where you put it.
  • The panel sits on the Nodes tab, and the same lines print on the DMX / Universe sheet, land in the workbook as an sACN MA3 tab, and publish to the crew page with the XML download.
  • Import your old Option-B spreadsheet as a real show — the show menu’s Import show or Excel… takes a legacy .xlsx workbook directly: titleblock, VLAN legend, devices, cable schedule and switch-port map all come across, columns matched by name, with an honest report of what it read, what it worked out, and what it skipped.

A condensed drawing set, and labels that share a sheetAll tiersAdd-on

  • Condensed — a new Sheets control on the export setup. The same content, with the small drawings packed onto shared sheets instead of one forced page each: a demo package goes from 47 sheets to 41, and because the saving is per rack, a big rig gains most. Every folded drawing keeps its own number, its own Drawing Register row and its own PDF bookmark. Drawing set stays the default and is unchanged — that is still the formal one-drawing-per-sheet deliverable for a client or a permit; Condensed is the shop copy.
  • Combined label sheets — bank batches of any label type and print them onto ONE sheet in a single pass, instead of a pass through the printer per type with most of the page wasted. Cables, devices, nodes and RoboSpot gear can share a sheet, each drawn in its own style, and it honours the start-cell offset so you can finish a part-used sheet.
  • Better stickers — a console’s VLANs and IPs on one multi-NIC label, switch labels carrying rack and U, node universe labels drawn to the node builder’s own grid, the device note printed top-right, and device / node labels printing in IP order.

  • A command palette — Cmd/Ctrl+K anywhere jumps to any tab, runs the big verbs (export, save, save as, back up now), or finds a device or cable by name, model or IP and lands you on the row with the filter already filled in. Cmd/Ctrl+, opens Settings, Cmd/Ctrl+E the export window, Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+S Save show as.
  • netmap’s own dialogs — every browser alert, confirm and prompt is gone, replaced by branded dialogs, and when something does break a proper crash window says what happened instead of a blank popup.
  • Help where you are — every tab opens with the same header and explains itself, a Getting started checklist walks a new install through licence, logo, library, VLAN legend and a first export (ticked from real state, not from clicking), and an activity tray shows the app working.
  • A data-safety card at the top of Settings → Autosave & backup: this show’s saved state, local backups, cloud backup, and the real on-disk folder your shows live in — in one place.
  • The window title follows the open show, “Save show as…” is a real menu entry at last, and every tab now carries exactly one title.

Cable identity, and a library that reads like a catalogAll tiers

  • One cable table — the old “cables by length” kit section and the separate cable schedule are replaced by a single Qty | Cable | Length | I-Code table that counts all the cable in the show: patched runs, kit stock, and loom cable (marked (in looms) so nobody double-pulls a bundle that is already made up). Same table in the PDF, the spreadsheet, and on Summaries.
  • Per-length codes, from your library — a cable item carries its own code per length, so 5' and 50' print their own numbers instead of one generic code or nothing at all. A run can point at a real catalog item, which is what stops a power run printing as the useless “Power - 25'” on a shop’s pull sheet.
  • Bring only — a new export toggle that leaves out runs with both ends in the same rack, so the cable table answers “what do I bring” instead of also listing every jumper already living inside a rack. Printed sheets now carry the full link under any item that has one, so paper still says where to buy it.
  • Regenerate keeps your edits — a hand-corrected cable, length, label or SFP sled on a generated row survives a regenerate now; only the wiring-derived fields refresh.
  • The library is a catalog, not a pull sheet — cables get their own page, looms get library folders, and Devices gains a Network only view plus a left-edge stripe that separates addressed gear from the blanks, vents, doors and lacing bars (about 40% of a real device list).

Cloud backup for your shows and your libraryStudio

  • Cloud show backup — switch it on in Settings → Autosave & backup and every save queues a background backup to your netmap account. Versioned and deduped, it never makes a save wait on the network, and if another machine pushed a newer copy it stops and says so instead of overwriting.
  • Your shows on the home screen, wherever they live — a backed-up show wears a quiet green synced chip, one updated on another machine offers a one-click pull, and shows that exist only in your account appear as dashed cards you can restore onto this machine.
  • Your library and defaults ride along — the equipment library, faceplate photos and your VLAN / titleblock defaults back up too, and restore as one pinned row in the Cloud backups browser. Sign in on a fresh machine, restore your library, restore your shows, and you’re home. Settings and secrets never leave the machine.

  • Venue Map — a new tab next to Topology. Drop the venue drawing in as an image or straight from a .pdf page, place your racks and floor gear on it, draw zones (PIT 1, FOH) and note callouts, then set the scale by clicking two points a known distance apart. Hand-route the fiber the way it actually runs and every trunk gets a measured length — flagged amber when it beats the length you entered, red when it won’t reach the stock you assigned.
  • Rack Wiring diagrams — Topology gains a fifth view: a ConnectCAD-style internal wiring diagram, one rack at a time, built from the cables and switch ports you already entered. Wires are coloured by VLAN and styled by medium (solid copper, dash-dot fiber, dashed DMX); it zooms, pans and traces on hover, you can arrange it by hand and it stays arranged, and each block can wear its real faceplate photo.
  • Both ship in the paperwork and to the crew — a Venue Network Map sheet with its measured-route table (and a Venue Routes spreadsheet tab), per-rack “— Wiring” sheets in the drawing set, and Venue Map / Wiring tabs on the published show.
  • Published shows carry the Excel workbook too, next to the PDF — and each show now remembers its own publish settings (sections, opt-ins, watermark, link name) instead of one global set shared by every show.

  • Rig Notes — the crew logs rig issues on the published show and burns them down together, live. Type a channel and netmap reads your imported MVR and fills in the fixture, its position, the universe and address, and the node and port driving it. Log as a blocker/major/minor, mark it on it, resolve, reopen; every note comes back to you in the app with a print-ready punch list. Studio.
  • A smarter MVR importer — reads each fixture's real stage position from the plot (Podzilla, DS Truss, the Torms) instead of the fixture-type layer, with a Position from control to map whichever field your drawing uses. Universes group by position into clean ranges, and the GDTF Share check confirms by channel count.
  • Clearer published-page reads: labelled patch/node lines, spelled-out ports, and Rig Notes sits last in the tab bar.
